Results for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment  (KPSEA) will be released today, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has said.

The CS said that the marking exercise has now been completed and that schools will be able to access the KPSEA reports through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) portal from today.

“A total of 1,253,577 learners sat the 2022 KPSEA in 32,555 centres across the country. I wish to announce that all these learners will transit to Junior Secondary School,” Machogu said yesterday.

Given that this is the first time such reports will be available for schools, Machogu urged KNEC to collaborate with the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to assist the schools in properly interpreting the reports for learners and parents.

He also directed KNEC to hold joint discussions with the KICD and TSC on the national KPSEA reports with a view to providing feedback on the CBC curriculum that can inform ongoing curriculum reviews.

They will get individual learner reports that will indicate the learner performance level in specific subjects/strands including the acquisition of values and core competencies and performance level in specific subjects.

According to KNEC, the Council will report on KPSEA at three levels namely individual learners for the summative assessment, school-specific as well as a national report on school-based and summative assessments.
