Ruto appoints ex-CoB Agnes Odhiambo as Hëad of Government Delivery Services

President William Ruto on Thursday, March 23 appointed former Controller of Budget (CoB) Agnes Odhiambo as Head of Government Delivery Services.

Odhiambo was appointed alongside former Solicitor General Kenneth Ogeto and Karisa Nzai Munyika who were named Legal and Political Affairs advisors respectively.

"The governance and delivery functions will augment the existing institutional framework and aim to promote accountability, transparency, productivity and openness in the management of public affairs not only within the Executive Office but also across all State Organs and Agencies," Head of Public Servuce Felix Koskei said while confirming the appointments.

Odhiambo was Kenya's first CoB from August 2011 to August 2019.

She has been serving as the Chairperson of National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) since 2020.

Munyika on the other hand has been serving as the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party National Organising Secretary.

Ruto praises Ogeto

Speaking on Monday after the swearing-in ceremony of Shadrack Mose as the new Solicitor General at State House, Nairobi, Ruto lauded Ogeto as a distinguished public servant and said he looked forward to working with him in other capacities.

"I have worked with him even in this transition period and I'm very confident and I already told him that the future is bright and he will move on to other responsibilities that would tap into the experience that he has acquired," Ruto said.

He added: "On behalf of myself and this administration, to Ken Ogeto, thank you very much for what you have done in the service of our great nation."

Ogeto worked as Solicitor General from March 20, 2018 to March 20, 2023.
