Central Organisation of Trade Unions secretary general Francis Atwoli has urged Deputy President William Ruto to meet retired President Daniel Moi and seek his blessings in his endeavor to lead the country.

Speaking in Uasin Gishu county on Saturday during a funds drive in aid of Evangelical Bible Church, the outspoken trade unionist told Ruto that he would not succeed in his quest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta unless he gets the former Head of State’s blessings.

“I advise DP to go through Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to meet the former President and seek the old man’s blessings in his quest to ascend to the country’s top seat,” said Atwoli.

Saying that the country was enjoying peace and stability due to the Handshake between the President and Opposition leader Raila Odinga, Atwoli warned critics of the deal that they will not succeed. The Cotu  boss was accompanied by Cherangany MP Joshua Kuttuny, Nominated MP Wilson Sossion and a host of trade union officials from North Rift region.
