Speculations have been rife on why a famous senator expected to vote to send impeached Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu home instead attempted to save him.
StreetTalk has learned that the senator thought by saving Waititu he’d protect own interests.
The senator is said to have been a major beneficiary of some tenders at Kiambu county secured through his son.
In one of the tenders, the senator’s son was contracted to construct a road.
He, therefore, did not vote in a bid to save Waititu because he believed he was innocent, it’s because he owed him one—vote.
