Senior politician’s sons face Sh50m theft charge

Two sons of a Mombasa politician were yesterday charged at a Shanzu court with economic crimes and drug trafficking.
Abdallah Salim Bajaber, Sheikh Ali Bajaber and a third suspect Joseph Munyao appeared before Resident Magistrate David Odhiambo where they were accused of stealing Sh50 million from Mombasa Cement Company.
Salim Bajaber and Sheikh Bajaber are the sons of Mohammed Bajaber who is a Mombasa politician.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and were released on bond or cash bail.
The Bajaber brothers were released on a bond of Sh15 million or a cash bail of Sh10 million each while Munyao was set free on a bond of Sh10 million or a cash bail of Sh7 million.
