Speaker Justin Muturi claims EACC is trying to intimidate him with fake issues because of his political ambitions

The Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has alleged that EACC tried to intimidate him with fake issues because of his political ambitions.

Muturi who is eying the presidential seat was speaking at his Kanyuambora home in Mbeere North during a meeting with grassroot leaders from Mt Kenya East.

"Let Kenyans make ultimate decision, ati ukifanya ii unatishwa tishwa sijui KRA sijui nini ,mimi walikua wanasema sijui ati tutaangalia nikasema niko open (Soon as you declare your political interests they start issuing threats especially on taxes, they came for me and I assured them that I'm open) " Muturi alleged.

He said those who are interested to vie for whatever office should be allowed to do so without any negative force from any quarter.

Muturi noted that his ambitions are based on bringing integrity and order in the country and very soon he will be availing his political bus which will propel him to the highest office.

The speaker noted that this time round Mt Kenya East will not be used like a carpet to facilitate movement of other people without benefiting the regional.

"The next Parliament will be sworn in towards the end of August next year,that is the time when president Uhuru Kenyatta will hand over the sword,mnaona nyinyi atapea nani ata ," Muturi satated.

In support of Muturi, Mbeere North Member of Parliament Muriuki Njagangua said he is tried and tested and has excelently done well for all positions he has held in past.

Other leaders from Mt Kenya East have urged Muturi to avail his political party soonest possible.

The leaders drawn from Embu ,Tharaka Nithi and Meru counties said it is now time for Mt Kenya East to produce the 5th president

"It is our time now. Muturi is a man of high integrity and he has demonstrated that in all areas he has led," Meru county speaker Joseph Kaberia stated.
