Former Baringo governor Stanley Kiptis appointed chair of Kenya National Qualifications Authority

Former Baringo governor Stanley Kiptis has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Kenya National Qualifications Authority.

Kiptis will serve in the position for three years, according to a gazette notice by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.

In a raft of appointments by the Kenya Kwanza government, President William Ruto has appointed Sakwa Bunyasi to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Development Corporation. Bunyasi is currently serving as the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery board chair.

Ruto has also appointed Geoffery Mutai as the non-executive chairperson of Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council for a period of three years.

Michael Nyachae has been appointed as the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Development
Bank of Kenya Limited for a period of three years.

President Ruto has also revoked the appointment of Jeremiah Kamau Kinyua as the chairperson of the National Standards Council and in his place appointed Peter Munyiri Maina.

The President has also appointed Elizabeth Chesang to be the Chairperson of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities. The appointment of Peter Muchiri to the position has been revoked.

Ruto has appointed Peter Njuguna Gitau to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Sports Kenya, consequently revoking the appointment of Charles Waithaka.
