Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has refuted claims by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i that, indeed, Turkish national Harun Aydin was a criminal.

Sudi’s sentiments comes hours after Matiangi’ trashed an apology given to the Turkish government by Deputy President William Ruto over deportation of the Turkish businessman.

Through his social media pages, Sudi urged the Interior CS to openly share the truth to all Kenyans behind the Turkish investor deportation and stop diverting the real truth.

‘’Stop diverting the truth whereas we know Turkey wanted to send home our Turkish ambassador and our citizens residing in Turkey, so stop lying to Kenyans about this whole scenario,’’ Sudi said.

The Kapsaret MP further challenged the CS on why the government was not able to present the Turkish to a court of law to face justice.

While appearing before the National Assembly Committee on Security and National Administration over the Turkish citizen issue, Matiang’i said Aydin was a criminal who had used some VIPs to gain entry into the country twice without his passport being stamped.

“The government of the Republic of Kenya has not apologized, because there is nothing wrong we have done on this matter, and we have done what we have agreed with the Turkish government, to deport their citizen so that they can deal with him,’’ said Matiang’i.

Sudi further claimed that he will table all the necessary documents to showcase that the Turkish national was in the country as required by the law.

‘’If really Aydin was a criminal and illegally residing in the country, then why did you beg him to book a ticket to leave the country, it's clear this country is led by conmen,’’ Sudi posed.

However, according to Matiang’i, Aydin used fraudulent means to enter the country, and that he only filed online that he wanted to invest in the energy sector, although there wasn’t any investment at the moment.

Matiang’i further defended the government’s action to deport the Turk without charging him in the Kenyan courts.
