The Teachers Service Commission has announced promotions for its members.

TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia said letters of appointment as Deputy Principals, Head Teachers, Deputy Head Teachers, Senior Masters, Senior Lecturers and Curriculum Support Officers were on their way to the promoted teachers who were interviewed between the months of December 2021 and February 2022.

"The Commission takes this opportunity to congratulate those who were successful and encourages those who were not successful to apply when vacancies are advertised,” TSC CEO said.

These promotions are as a result of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between Teachers' unions and the government to put an end to perennial strikes.

The current promotion of teachers is the fourth phase of the CBA's implementation.
