Tusker FC have been crowned the 2020/21 Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions after a 2-1 win over Bidco United at the Utalii grounds.

Courtesy of their win against Bidco the newly crowned champions took their tally to 65 points, three ahead of KCB who thrashed Nairobi City Stars 3-0 as the 2020/21 season concluded on Sunday.

Brewers attacking midfielder Rodgers Aloro scored the opener from the spot in the 23rd minute, before Henry Meja doubled their advantage a few minutes later.

The ever present David Orem pulled one back for Bidco, but it was not enough as the Robert Matano's charges held on to claim their 12th league title.

The win would see the Matano coached side toast the champagne after officially being confirmed as the new FKF Premier League champions in a success that ended Gor Mahia FC’s four-year hold of the title.

KCB who mounted a strong challenge of their own against a resilient Tusker came in second after virtually handing the trophy to the brewers due to their 1-1 draw against AFC Leopards last week

However, the draw seemed not to deter the bankers spirits, coming out to record a 3-0 win over Nairobi City Stars to secure second position.

Mombasa-based Bandari came in third after beating Wazito 2-0 at Mbaraki grounds, with Johanna Mwita and Umaru Kasumba getting on the scoresheet.

Perennial winners Gor Mahia managed a seventh position placing on the standing with 45 points- accumulated following a 2-0 defeat to Nzoia Sugar at Ruaraka grounds.

At the bottom table, Zoo Kericho and Western Stima have been relegated from the top-tier league, while Vihiga United will participate in a promotion relegation play-off fixture against the third placed National Super League side.
