The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is issuing certificates today to candidates who won during the nomination exercise held two weeks ago.

In a statement, the party Secretary-general Veronica Maina said the issuing of certificates will happen countrywide.

Those who are vying for governor, MP, Senate, and Woman Representative seats are receiving their certificates at Hustler Centre in Nairobi.

Those vying for Member of County Assembly (MCA) seats receive their certificates in specified regions across the country.

UDA MCAs in Kiambu, Kajiado, Nairobi, Samburu, Narok, Garissa, Wajir, Kitui, Machakos, Makueni and Mander will receive their certificates in Nairobi.

"All MCA candidates will receive their certificates on Wednesday from 11 am to 3 pm," Maina said.

Those from Coastal counties will receive their certificates from the Mombasa County UDA offices.

Those from Marsabit, Isiolo, Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Embu will receive from the Meru UDA offices, while candidates from Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a and Laikipia will collect certificates from the Nyeri Cultural Hall.

Turkana, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Elgeyo Marakwet, Uasin Gishu and Nandi MCA candidates will be issued at the Eldoret Sports Club while those from Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia and Vihiga will be issued at the Kakamega UDA offices.

Kisii, Nyamira, Bomet and Kericho certificates will be issued at Rays Hotel in Kericho, while aspirants in Nakuru, Nyandarua and Baringo will go to Nakuru UDA offices to collect their certificates.

The nomination was, however, marred by massive irregularities leading to a repeat of the exercise in some areas.
