Nairobi businessman and 2022 presidential aspirant Jimmy Wanjigi now wants Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga to retire in politics.

Speaking on Sunday when he attended a church service in Machakos County, Wanjigi said Raila's time was up and he should leave the political field to other people.

He claimed that Raila's "last bullet" was fired in 2017 and therefore he should retire honourably.

“I don’t know if he fired or where that bullet is. But if he missed, then, that is it. 2022 cannot be about Raila.

"That was done and we are now onto new things. We cannot keep having elections and every time it is all about Raila, it is time for new people,” he said.

He was accompanied by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka during the church service.

“My friend Kalonzo Musyoka and I have been in this game for a while now, in 2017 we were disagreeing over whether you should run for presidency or we should give Raila one more chance,” Wanjigi said.

Wanjigi has been crisscrossing the country to market himself as an ODM presidential candidate for 2022 general elections.
