Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Champions Gor Mahia have refuted claims that they have signed Western Stima teenage wonder Benson Omala Ochieng' in an undisclosed transfer deal.

K’Ogalo chairman Ambrose Rachier, rebutted the grapevine while setting the record straight that there was nothing like that.

“There is no signing made by Gor Mahia and I can only take the impending signing of Omala by Gor as idle talk. Moreover, where can we take new players considering that the league has been put on hold due to Covid-19,” posed Rachier.

According to unconfirmed reports, Gor had allegedly beaten arch rivals AFC Leopards to the signature of the Kisumu Day Secondary School student who has been a top marksman for Stima in the top-tier league.

Omala would have sat his O-Level examinations at the end of this year before the Government deferred the exercise to 2021 due to the escalating cases of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
