Jubilee Party Vice Chair David Murathe has said Azimio la Umoja Movement team will stand by Raila Odinga even if he loses the August 9 presidential election.

He said that in the unlikely event that Raila loses the polls, they will form a strong opposition and be part of the government via parliament.

"You can lose or win an election. If we lose, we'll form a strong opposition (with Raila Odinga) and work from the parliament," he said.

Murathe defended President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to support Raila Odinga citing incidents in the United States of America and other parts of the world.

Murathe spoke at KICC on Saturday where Azimio la Umoja Movement is holding its National Delegates Conference (NDC).

The delegates are set to endorse the movement's presidential candidate for the August 9 poll.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka and other OKA principals are expected to attend the NDC.
