Wetang’ula declines invitation to Raila’s Azimio La Umoja event

Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang'ula has said that he will not attend Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja event at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi, on Friday.

Wetang'ula who confirmed that he had received an invitation to the event, stated that he will be engaged elsewhere.

"I received an invitation to my brother Raila Odinga party leader ODM to attend his Azimio event tomorrow.

"Due to prior engagements, I will not attend. I wish him well," Wetang'ula posted on Twitter.

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi, who also received an invitation to the event, also said he was not going to attend the conference.

At the same time, Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will also not attend the event despite receiving an invitation.

Kalonzo is in Juba, South Sudan for a peace meeting with President Salva Kiir.
