AFC Leopards finally rediscovered their winning ways in the FKF Premier League (KPL) after pelting Posta Rangers 3-1 at Thika Stadium yesterday.

Rangers looked composed early in the match as they raced into the lead at the nascent stage of the second half from a corner kick.

Leopards then gradually came into the match with Ojo Olonayi thinking he had struck the equaliser in the 15th minute only to be ruled off-side as Ingwe struggled to create clear-cut scoring chances.

After trailing by the goal in the first half, Leopards mounted a comeback after the resumption and managed to get the cutting edge to prise open Rangers defence, sensational Brian Wanyama finding an opening in the 59th to rifle home the equaliser. Rangers defence went to sleep after conceding with Washington Munene scoring the second goal for Leopards from the penalty spot after an infringement inside the box before Kaycie Odhiambo scored from a free-kick for goal number three.

In Kasarani, Gor Mahia were leading Vihiga Bullets 1-0 before the match was stopped over security concerns.

A section of fans stormed the pitch where they attacked a Bullets player in a scenario that degenerated into a free for all as the visitors declined to continue play for fear of their lives.

Bullets players and officials had earlier refused to come out of the dug out in the second half over the lapse in security.

Earlier on, a Gor fan was allegedly assaulted by security officers after sneaking inside the stadium without a match ticket.

In the meantime, Gor coach Andreas Spiers told the team’s faithful to exercise patience, saying he is not thinking about the FKF Premier League title for now but to turn round the fortunes of the team that had been struggling before he was contracted.

“To me, I think it’s premature to talk about the gong.  We want to play beautiful football moving forward and if we win the title, it will be great,” said Spiers.

who won his first match with the team last weekend in which they beat Posta Rangers 3-1.

“I shall reflect on my second win with Gor since landing here with the mentality of achieving more success with the team that has a rich history in African football,” he said.

Added Spiers: “Of course, I’m happy with the players for the hard work they have demonstrated in training both physically and mentally. I must say this is what has impacted positively lately in the team’s performance.
