AFC Leopards defenders Robert Mudenyu and Collins Shivachi have signed new deals with the FKF Premier League side.

Leopards have confirmed that the two players have penned down new deals that will see them stay at the den for one more year.

"We're delighted to announce that our defenders Robert Mudenyu and Collins Shivachi have extended their stay at the club," AFC Leopards said in a statement.

"Mudenyu and Shivachi joined us in 2019. The two have signed one-year deals with the club," the club revealed.

Shivachi moved to the den in August 2019 after his deal with FKF Premier League Champions Tusker ended. He has already spent three years at the den and the new deal will see him have more than four years at the club.

He played for Kakamega School's Green Commandoes and had a brief stint with Western Stima while still in high school. Shivachi later crossed over to Sofapaka where he stayed till December 2015.

The right-back was then signed by Tusker FC and he won the League title in 2016 which was his first season with the Brewers under Paul Nkata.

Mudenyu on his part has also been at the den for three years after signing for the club in July 2019 from Sony Sugar FC.

The club is working to tie down key players and Goalkeeper Maxwell Muchesia Mulili has been handed a new three-year deal at the club while South Sudanese Mousa  Saad has penned a new one-year deal.

AFC Leopards new officials

The Leopards are having a busy off-season, with club members having elected a new office to serve for the next three years. Dan Shikanda was re-elected Chairman with 429 votes, while his competitor Ronald Namai from the club's Facebook section received 281 votes. Ten votes were spoiled.

Gilbert Andugu was elected Secretary-General with 433 votes, defeating Robert Omusawa, who received 244 votes. Oliver Napali Imbenzi of the club's executive branch was unchallenged for the role of treasurer.

Just before the elections, the club secured a 60 Million Sponsorship from Betting firm Spotika who came in to fill the void left by Betsafe who terminated their three-year deal with the side.

Recently they won the Elijah Lidonde Cup organized by the club to remember legends who died recently.

The club beat Vihiga Bullets 5-3 in the semis and defeated Nzoia sugar on post-match penalties to win the Lidonde Cup on Sunday.
