Two matches this afternoon could offer a glimpse of the direction the BetKing Premier League title is heading this season with six matches left.

Front-runners Tusker FC and KCB are separated by a solitary point in the race for the title and any slip-up by either side today could change the script altogether.

League leaders Tusker are under pressure as they prepare to face off with ninth placed Nairobi City Stars.

Robert Matano’s men with 55 points drew the first leg of the corresponding fixture 2-2.

With the match being at Ruaraka Grounds,  this could offer some kind of comfort for the hosts but the risk remains.

The Brewers recently lost their talismanic captain Hashim Sempala after his contract ended.

At the same time their twin attack of Henry Mejja and Boniface Muchiri are in Ethiopia for the Cecafa Challenge Cup.

Meanwhile at Thika Stadium, another blockbuster clash awaits in the shape of  Posta Rangers and KCB.

The Bankers on 54 points are lately the form team of the league.

The Mailmen, who will be missing their head coach Stanley Okumbi who is on international assignment, have no win in their past five matches as opposed to KCB who have three wins in the past five matches.

In the first leg meeting between the two clubs, the Bankers cruised to an easy 3-0 win over Posta who are currently 13th in the League with 28 points.

Zedekiah Otieno’s KCB therefore look formidable enough on paper with the likes of Derrick Otanga and Henry Onyango firing on all cylinders.

In another match, Ulinzi Stars who are 10th on the log face off with relegation-threatened Vihiga United at Nakuru’s ASK Grounds.

The Soldiers are still buoyed by their 1-0 triumph over defending Champions Gor Mahia last Wednesday.

Vihiga under Michael Muiruri in their last match went goalless with City Stars.

In an early fixture at the same venue, Nzoia Sugar FC square off with Coastal side Bandari FC.

Seventh-placed Bandari are coming off a hard fought 1-0 win over Posta while the Sugar Men’s last Sunday forced AFC Leopards to a 2-2 draw.
