Sir Ali Muslim Club seem unbeatable if their good run in the ongoing T20 Nairobi Invitational Cricket League is anything to go by.

They currently lead the standings by 24 points after seven matches with an impressive +1.822 net run rate.

They picked eight maximum points last weekend after solid wins over Kongonis Cricket Club and Sikh Union to maintain a clean slate.

Their all round display, despite lacking their bigwigs Sandip Adole and Zayyed Abbas through injury, has impressed captain Gurdeep Singh.

“We are doing fairly well in key departments though our batting numbers must improve as well as fielding.

It’s confident building for the boys so far because we have only one loss so we will keep the momentum going,” he  said after their win over the Sikhs at Simba Union grounds which saw him lead the score with 45 runs off 52 balls with Sir Ali posting 124/6 yesterday.

Meanwhile, Swamibapa are also keeping up the pressure after posting two wins to push them to 24 points albeit with an inferior net run rate and a match in hand.

They won their duels against Sikh Union and Nairobi Gymkhana to cement their title hopes with Irfan Karim on good form.

Kanbis, who have played two matches less, are in third placed with 20 points and next face Sir Ali at Park Road.
