Eldoret hosts Africa Youth Scrabble Championship

Africa Youth Scrabble Championship (AYSC) a will this weekend make its way through Kenya, stopping at two key locations for the country’s scrabble community. The first stop will be the Eldoret National Scrabble tournament, followed by Juja Preparatory School, where PANASA president Adekoyejo Adegbesan and World Champion Jighere Wellington will spearhead the tour.

The AYSC trophy tour is a significant event for the African Scrabble community, as it marks the first-ever Africa Youth Championship. The tournament is set to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, and will feature young Scrabble players from all over the continent. The trophy tour is aimed at promoting the championship and creating awareness about the event.

The Eldoret National Scrabble tournament happening on Saturday and Sunday will be the first stop on the AYSC trophy tour, and it is expected to be a huge success. The tournament is expected to attract players from all over Kenya, players from Uganda, Liberia and Nigeria. It will be an opportunity for Scrabble enthusiasts to match up their skills to the World Champion Jighere Wellington.

After the Eldoret tournament, the AYSC trophy tour will move to Juja Preparatory School, where PANASA president and World Champion Jighere Wellington will lead the event with support from Scrabble Kenya’s Chairman, Limo Kipkemoi.

During the event, the PANASA president and Jighere will speak to the students about the AYSC tournament and the opportunities it presents to young Scrabble players. They will also provide tips and advice on how to improve their game and prepare for the championship.
