The rivalry between AFC Leopards and Posta Rangers comes to the fore again today when they clash in the FKF Betway Cup Round of 32 action at Thika Stadium.

Ingwe and the Mailmen settled for a goalless draw in a Betking Premier League action on May 22 and it remains to be seen who among them will have the last laugh in the potentially high octane encounter.

Leopards should be the most vengeful amongst the two after they felt they were victims of partial officiating on the day which saw them reduced to 10 men following a red card dished to one of their players.

Again, Leopards are a wounded team and badly need redemption after a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bidco United this week which shook their chances of taking the Betking Premier League lead.

During the fateful match on May 22,  Leopards’ charge for the keader board of the top-tier league was halted by the gritty Rangers who controlled a huge chunk of the match only to be let down by naivety whenever they approached the opponents goalmouth.

Ingwe coach Patrick Aussiems will be hoping that his dependable players like Robinson Kamura, Yusuf Mainge, Elvis Rupia and Bienvenue Shaka shall rise to the occasion and help the team navigate through the Round of 16.

Tomorrow, Gor Mahia will wind up the round of 32 fixtures as they play CUSCO at the Utalii Grounds.

The Round of 16 is set to follow suit on June 5-6 with the quarterfinal matches set to be played between June 9-10.

Between June 12 and June 13, the semi finals will take centre stage with the finals set to tentatively take place on July 4.
