FKF Premier League top scorers after first leg

Gor Mahia's Benson Omalla continues to lead the scoring charts in the FKF Premier League after 17 rounds, despite not finding the net in the last four matches.

Omalla, linked with a move to USM Alger, remains a strong contender for the Golden Boot. In the previous season, he finished second to Elvis Rupia, then with Kenya Police.

Four players, Francis Kahiro, Boniface Muchiri, Moses Shumah, and Vincent Owino, are tied with six goals each.

Tusker's Eric Kapaito, with a weekend hattrick against KCB Football, joins a group of players with five goals.

Matchday 18 is set for Saturday and Sunday, with Kakamega Homeboyz aiming for a comeback against Bandari after a setback against Kenya Police. Bandari, buoyed by their win over Nzoia Sugar, seek to climb the table.

Bidco United, defeated 3-0 by Sofapaka, hosts Police at Thika Stadium. The highlight of Saturday sees Gor Mahia facing Kariobangi Sharks, with K'Ogalo aiming to maintain their unbeaten run.

FKF Premier League fixtures

Tusker, following a 5-0 win against KCB, rose to fifth place. Sofapaka, under new coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno, look rejuvenated after a victory in their first game.
