Betking Premier League clubs have a chance to replenish their squads after Football Kenya Federation (FKF) unveiled dates for a mini transfer window.

The clubs will seize on the opportunity to sign the best talent more so by those who have been unlucky to have their key players sustain injuries since the 2020/21 season kicked off on November 21 last year.

Among the affected clubs is Kariobangi Sharks and last season’s runner-up Kakamega Homeboyz who have only managed a single win from seven matches and are languishing in 14th position with five points.

In a communique sent to club chairmen and which was copied to the league’s Management Committee and Manager ,among others, FKF said the transfer window will officially open on January 25 and close on March 1.

“FKF wishes to notify all Betking (Kenya) Premier League clubs and other stakeholders that the second player registration period (transfer window) shall officially open on January 25 and shall run through to March 1.

FKF also fixed the date of the international transfer window which will open on the midnight of January 25 and shall close on February 22.

Meanwhile, the domestic transfer window will officially open on February 1, 2021 and close on March 1, 2021.

“All clubs in the league are expected to complete their signings before the aforementioned deadline dates,” FKF said.
