Zetech Sparks continued hitting the right notes after coming from behind to hold defending champions Thika Queens to a one-all draw in an entertaining FKF Women Premier League matchday five encounter played Saturday at Thika Stadium.

Catherine Wangechi put Thika Queens ahead in the 16th minute after getting a priceless assist from in form Wincate Kaari but Puren Anyetu restored parity at the stroke of halftime.

Zetech Sparks coach Benard Kitolo regretted that they had dropped two crucial points, adding that had it not been for the woodwork and Thika’s goalkeeper imperious performance, Zetech would have collected all three points in the game.

“We hit the woodwork four times. So we hope in our next game we will win,” Kitolo told People Sport.

Meanwhile, second-placed Gaspo Women withstood a first-half onslaught from visiting Kangemi Ladies before the visitors cracked 25 minutes to full time with Corazon Aquino breaking the deadlock in the 75th minute before glittering Mercy Airo bagged a brace in the 83rd and 87th minutes to give the Domitila Wangui Armani’s coached side a fourth victory in five matches.

Elsewhere, Ulinzi Starlets were held by Nakuru City Queens in Nakuru as Trans Nzoia Falcons continued with their winning ways on the road after getting the better of hosts Bunyore Starlets 2-1 in Luanda.
