Rampant Fortune Sacco have jumped to the pinnacle of the National Super League after posting three successive wins.

Their midweek 3-2 win over Dandora Love means they are now tied with second placed APS Bomet on 20 points but with better goal difference.

The Kerugoya-based side who finished just off the promotion playoffs spot last season are now keen on making amends under youthful tactician Nicodemus Omasete.

Sacco, just like APS Bomet, have won six of their nine matches played this season. APS, however, faltered after playing to a goalless draw with visiting SS Assad at IAAF Bomet Grounds and failed to open the gap at the top.

Newcomers Assad, arguably one of the weakest sides in the division, fought valiantly despite being deep in the relegation zone with only six points and a single win in nine matches.

Meanwhile, Shabana FC recovered from their 1-0 loss to Kisumu All-Stars last weekend to win 2-0 against bottom-side Mwatate United Wednesday to move to 17.

Tore Bobe are under a caretaker coach following the resignation of Robert Ojienda last week. Halt momentum Murang’a Seal, on other hand, continue to keep pace with the leading pack following their 2-0 win away against Silibwet Leons to go to thirds. Seal coached by Shem Nyaberi have been a revelation in recent weeks winning three matches in a row.

The Leons are a disappointing 16th on the log with only one win and three losses in their last five matches to manage eight points. Elsewhere, Migori Youth earned their first win of the season in what has been a horrid campaign.

Their 1-0 win against Coastal Heroes at home in Awendo Stadium Wednesday pushed them to 18th on the standings with seven points after nine matches played.

In other midweek results, Mombasa Elite FC won 1-0 against Kibera Black Stars FC to move to fifth with 16 points. The Ahmed Mchulacoached looked to be the team to beat in recent weeks but a series of blips have halted their momentum.

In another duel, inconsistent Kisumu All-Stars showed their lethargy once again after falling 2-1 to Vihiga United at Mumias Complex to fall two places to 13th with 11 points in the bag.
