Four international shooters booked at Mombasa event

Four international shooters are participating in the second leg of Level 3 of the National Practical Shooting Confederation event organized by the Kenya Shooting Sports Federation (KSSF) and Bamburi Rifle club in Mombasa County.

The participants in the national league event are Oscar Tapera from Zimbabwe, Silhavy Erik from Zambia, and Vinduska Vaclav and Cimburek Lukas from the Czech Republic respectively.

Bamburi Rifle Club vice-chairman Mohammed Ramadhan said a total of 213 registered shooters ranging from civilians to members of disciplined forces will participate in the Level 3 national event after the Kamanga Chalbi championship.

Ramadhan said the event is expected to set the ground for the KSSF to lobby for the international shooting body to grant Kenya and Africa to host the level IV championship.

“With a team of shooting experts and equipment the standards of the shooters will be scaled to international standards hence making the event possible to be hosted in Kenya, “he said.

In the pre-match event, 17 range officers and 14 match officials participated over the weekend.

 events while the main competitors were on Saturday and Sunday.

Ramadhan added that each division winner will receive an award and a special event to recognise the disciplined forces will be included in the two-day event.
