Gor Mahia FC asks Raila to postpone Jacaranda rally

Gor Mahia FC has asked Azimio la Umoja One Kenya supremo Raila Odinga to postpone his Jacaranda rally.

In a memo dated January 26, 2023, the team stated that Raila should either reschedule the rally or have it in good time since it clashes on the same day fans will be watching a match between Mashemeji derby and AFC leopards.

"To our esteemed patron the right honourable Raila Odinga….We the Kogalo fraternity are aware that you have planned a consultative meeting with wananchi cum demo on Sunday, January 29, 2023,

"As our dear patron, we wish to remind you of our mashemeji derby clash with AFC leopards at 3:00 pm - Nyayo stadium, the same day you will be holding consultative meeting cum demo," they stated.

The team also invited the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader to attend the much-awaited event.

"We hereby formally invite you to grace the occasion. We also appeal to you to consider either rescheduling the demo or having it in good time to enable supporters of both clubs to make their way to the stadium in time for the derby," they added.
