Gor Mahia's Benson Omala is aiming to maintain his scoring form in the league after finally reaching his 10th goal following a two-month wait.

Despite enduring a seven-match goal drought, Omala broke the spell with a crucial goal in their 1-0 victory over Nairobi City Stars.

“I have been working, the drought has ended now I want to keep scoring. I looked at the goalkeeper, the pass came with good pace and I just had to give it direction,” Omala said in post match interview.

His goal comes just days after head coach Johnathan McKinstry admitted he was unfazed by his recent goal drought in the FKF Premier League

Although Omala had failed to find the net in the last seven matches, McKinstry backed him up and attributed this to facing tough goalkeepers.
