The title battle in the Kenya Handball Federation is going on unabated with top teams continuing to shine as the Championship in both women and men divisions takes shape.

This past weekend saw interesting duels at the Nyayo Stadium Handball Courts despite rain interruptions.

In the Men’s Division, Leaders National Cereals & Produce Board (NCPB) on 35 points off 18 matches are still keeping at it.

In a titanic clash witnessed on Sunday, the two top sides NCPB and Ulinzi tied 30-30 with this being the first match that the Cereals team failed to win.

The game saw NCPB take a 16-10 half-time lead against Ulinzi with both attacks on full-flow.

However, the Cereals side should blame themselves for letting the gap closed.

Robert Maranga of NCPB led the score charts with seven field goals in a game that had 21 different scorers.

In the 18 matches played, Ulinzi are second on the standings with 32 points followed by General Service Unit on 30 points as the leaders NCPB remain the only unbeaten team to date.

In the Womens’ competition, Ulinzi Sharks who are second in the standings with 36 points made the biggest score of the weekend as they pummeled Daystar University 65-22.
