Harambee Stars will take on Seychelles in their next 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Monday, November 20, 2026.

With injuries ruling out Daniel Anyembe, Bryne Odhiambo, Brian Mandela, and Joseph Okumu, head coach Engin Firat will have no option but to field largely the same squad that played - and lost to Gabon - on Thursday in Franceville.

Defenders

Although he was not as impressive as expected, Patrick Matasi could maintain his place within the post. He will be covered by a defensive wall that includes Aboud Omar, Amos Nondi, Dennis Ng'ang'a, a late addition to the squad, and Johnstone Omurwa.

Omurwa struggled against Gabon and at times was caught off guard, and another chance to face Seychelles will offer him an opportunity to showcase why he deserves a regular position in the future.

Ng'ang'a has been impressive for his club, Zanaco FC of Zambia, and looked settled against Gabon, meaning that he will be looked upon to be as solid as possible in the Monday showdown.

In midfield, Anthony Akumu, who impressed in the friendly against Russia last month, Richard Odada, and Kenneth Muguna are expected to be lined up.

Odada will be expected to sit at the base of the midfield, while Muguna, who looked unsettled in Franceville, will be the advanced man linking this department with the attacking one.

Olunga to spearhead attack

Michael Olunga, who has seen a goal for Harambee Stars become quite elusive in the recent past, will lead the Kenyans as a captain and as a pivotal attacking figure.

Masoud Juma, the scorer of the goal against Gabon, and Rooney Onyango will partner the Al Duhail SC striker upfront. Juma has been a mainstay figure in Firat's squad, while Onyango impressed against Russia, earned the coach's applause, and was quite impressive in the Group F opening game.

Harambee Stars' predicted XI: Patrick Matasi, Aboud Omar, Johnstone Omurwa, Dennis Ng'ang'a, Amos Nondi, Richard Odada, Anthony Akumu, Kenneth Muguna, Masoud Juma, Rooney Onyango, and Michael Olunga.
