The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League takes yet another weekend break to pave way for the Mozzart Bet Cup round of sixteen matches.

After cruising into the stage the hard way, Gor Mahia and Kakamega Homeboyz will square it out at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Sunday in what is expected to be a fiercely contested game where qualification to the pre-quarterfinals will be at stake.

Gor and Homeboyz broke a sweat to advance in the knock-out competition and while Kogalo had to apply all the tricks in the book to beat Kibera Soccer 1-0, Abana Abeingo posted a 4-3 penalty shoot-out win over Division Three side Shalimar after the regulation time ended in a goalless draw.

Both teams are expected to hold nothing back, given the prize on offer for winning the competition is a ticket to the CAF Confederations Cup.

Although they will be enjoying home-ground advantage, Homeboyz, who have not been at their usual best, should brace for a tough test as they are meeting a Gor side that is bubbling with a lot of confidence after thrashing Vihiga Bullets 5-0 in a midweek league action.
