Indeche moves to Bidco Utd as transfers intensify

Clubs in the Football Kenya Federation-Kenya Premier League are still engaged in pre-season spruce-ups ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Bidco United have added five new faces into their squad including; John Otieno from National Super League side Coastal Heroes, goalkeeper Lucas Indeche and Malvin Nderitu from Fortune Sacco.

The Thika-based side under the tutelage of coach Anthony Akhulia finished a disappointing 15th in the table last season with a paltry 36 points off 34 matches.

Meanwhile star central defender for Wazito FC Maurice Ojwang has crossed over to moneybags KCB Football Club just days after he helped his former side survive the Premiership Playoffs against Muranga Seal FC. The experienced stopper joined Wazito three years ago from now defunct Western Stima FC. The loss of Ojwang is expected to be a huge dent to financially crippled Wazito FC who have indicated they may not take part in the forthcoming campaign.

Elsewhere, right-back Kevin Okumu has left Nairobi City Stars FC. The player known affectionately to his fans as “Chumsy” joined Simba wa Nairobi (City Stars) on loan from Wazito FC before later on signing a permanent deal.

At the same time,KCB Football Club defensive midfielder Harun Thomas has left the club and reportedly joined Western based Nzoia Sugar FC.The sugarmen who also lost attacker Levis Okello to neighbors Kakamega Homeboyz are expected to rebuild in the off-season especially with four other key players namely;Joseph Mwangi,James Kibande,Boniface Munyendo and Kevin Juma expected to leave.

Kariobangi Sharks goalkeeper Brandon Obiero has  left the club and is said to be on his way to Posta Rangers. The much sought after custodian had an indifferent campaign with the slum-boys and is now seeking refuge with the mailmen in a bid to change fortunes.

Elsewhere former Kenyan International winger Paul Were “Maldez” has completed a move to Rwandese side,Rayon Sport on a two-year deal.
