Five games have been lined up this weekend in the local rugby league Kenya Cup, with Nakuru and Nairobi hosting different fixtures.

In Nairobi, big boys Impala RFC hosts Kenya cup defending champions KCB RFC at the Impala club, with the hosts out to inflict the first loss of the season to the Bankers.

Kenya Simba Captain Samson Onsomu will lead the Sarries against an experienced KCB side that has included Kenya Sevens legend Andrew Amonde and Kenya Simba experienced lock Oliver Mang’eni.

Moses Ndung’u will take charge of the game as the centre referee, with the game scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm EAT.

At the RFUEA grounds, Kenya Harlequins will entertain varsity side Kenyatta University Blak Blad in an early kick off fixture with Quins including Kenya sevens star Herman Humwa to their squad, with the Ngong road- based side out to record their third consecutive win.

Mwamba RFC will host Kakamega-based side Kabras Sugar at the same venue in the last game of the day, with the sugar men out to maintain their form against a rejuvenated Mwamba RFC, who have made five changes to their starting line-up.

However, the inclusion of speedy winger Derick Ashiundu and experienced full back Felix Ayange to the backline of the sugar men is a clear statement the one time Kenya Cup champions are out to secure all points.

In Nakuru, well-oiled Menengai Oilers entertains varsity side Strathmore Leos at the Nakuru Athletic club in an early kick off fixture, with Oilers looking for a win to maintain their fine form in this season's Kenya Cup.

Top fry Nakuru will host Nondescript’s in the last fixture of the day, with both teams in much need of a win to avoid relegation come the end of the season.

Defending champions KCB currently top the Kenya cup log with eight wins to their name, Kabras Sugar following closely having played two games less than their rivals.

Varsity side Strathmore Leos and Menengai Oilers occupy position three and four respectively, with both teams scheduled to lock horns in Nakuru.
