Kenyan players in the thick of things abroad

This past weekend saw a flurry of football action for Kenyan players abroad with different outcomes.
On Saturday, Kenya international midfielder Johanna Omollo had 90 minutes action for Cercle Brugge as his side managed a 3-2 win over Mechelen to move into fourth spot with six points off four rounds in the new campaign.
Omollo received a yellow card for his troubles in the 29th minute of the match.
In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Harambee Stars defender Joseph Okumu played the full match as his IF Elfsborg went down 1-0 to ninth placed Ostersunds IK.
The side are currently second on the log with 31 points off 17 matches with their last three games alone earning them nine points straight.
In the lower Ettan League on Sunday, Kenyan player Anthony Wambani helped his IF Vasalunds side to a 2-1 win over Orebro FC to go top of the table with 31 points off 13 matches.
Meanwhile, Harambee Stars midfielder Eric Johanna saw 64 minutes of action as his side Sodra tied 1-1 against Vasteras SK. Sodra is currently fourth on the standings with 22 points from 14 games.
In Japan, Kenya’s talismanic striker Michael Olunga scoring spree ended after his Kashiwa Reysol side went goalless versus Oita trinita in the Japanese J1 League.
In the South African Premier Soccer League, Anthony Akumu played the last 15 minutes of the match as kaizer chiefs were held to a 1-1 draw by Stellenbosch, while in the Egyptian Premier League,Cliff Nyakeya came into play in the second half as FC Masr beat El Gouna 1-0.
