Madira Soccer Assassins’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nickson Muleri, has confirmed the team’s readiness and thorough preparation for the upcoming FKF Women’s Premier League (FKF-WPL), scheduled to commence on October 7.

Muleri expressed confidence in their recruitment efforts, emphasising their commitment to ensuring the team competes effectively with other FKF-WPL squads. He stated, “We have bolstered our squad with several signings, primarily focusing on defense, midfield, and striking positions.”

While highlighting their readiness to start the league, Muleri added that they would take a step-by-step approach as the team progresses through matches.

He made these comments during an evening session at their training camp. The Madira Soccer Assassins will kick off the 2023/2024 FKF-WPL season against Kenya Police Bullet FC at Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi.

They will subsequently host Gaspo Ladies at Mumboha, followed by a match at Nduru Stadium in Kitale against Tranzoia Falcons.

Meanwhile, Robert Majio, the head coach of Bungoma Queens, revealed their ongoing efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the league. “We have already secured the services of six new players to address gaps in our lineup,” Majio stated.

Bungoma Queens is scheduled to host Kibera Soccer Women at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma, followed by fixtures against Kenya Police Bullet FC at Police Sacco Stadium and Gaspo Ladies at Stima Club.

The KWPL games, initially set to begin on September 24, faced a slight delay due to international matches involving Kenya Harambee Starlets, who are set to compete against Cameroon ladies on September 22 and 26.
