Makini Schools dominate national championships.

Makini Schools Sports Academy were the top achievers as the national swimming championships ended at the Kasarani Aquatic Centre on Sunday.

The school collected 28 medals to win the men’s category on the final day of the national Long Course swimming championships, which brought together over 200 swimmers from nine counties.

The winners bagged 15 gold medals, seven silver and six bronze, while Seahorses Aquatic Centre were second with 11 medals.

Nairobi county swimming chairman Teddy Wamuyu whose Kenya Swimming Federation (KSF) County Caucus organized the national swimming championship where 9 of the 9 active counties were represented by teams and individuals said the event was a success.

“The representation was very good. Despite officials from Coast deciding not to attend, all the other regions gave us full support,” Wamuyu said while calling for order in the federation.
