Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga made his long-waited return to Al Duhail's starting squad as the side was held to a 2-2 draw by  Al Arabi at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

It was Olunga's first appearance since December when he picked a hamstring injury sustained during an Asian Champions League match against Persepolis.

The Harambee Stars captain who currently holds the top scorer position for Al Duhail with eight goals after 14 rounds in the Qatar Stars League, resumed training in late January after recovering from the injury.

The match saw the first half end in a goalless draw despite Al Duhail's clear dominance, which saw numerous missed opportunities.

In the 45th minute, Arabi's striker Alaa Hassan was sent off with a red card for a violent tackle on Al Duhail defender, Kim Moon.

In the second half, Duhail attempted to capitalize on the numerical advantage and started launching attacks. In the 65th minute, Ibrahim Diallo scored their first goal after following up on a rebound from Arabi's defenders inside the penalty area.

Five minutes later, Al-Muaz Ali reached the Arabi net again with a fast counterattack, receiving the ball inside the penalty area and launching a rocket with his left foot, which found the back of the net.

In the 84th minute, Arabi managed to reduce the gap with a goal from their player Ahmed Fathi with a shot from outside the penalty area.
