Mombasa hosts fourth leg of Ndondi Mashinani

NAIROBI: Boxing Federation of Kenya (BFK) under their project, Ndondi Mashinani,successfully hosted the fourth leg of the Championship at Mbaraki Sports Club at the weekend with 17 bouts on cards.

In the bouts that were electric,big names stood out in the ring with the likes of David Karanja of Kenya Police overpowered his Kenya Defence Forces opponent Kelvin Maina with a unanimous decision of 3-0 going in his favor in the flyweight division.

The 12 round bout had Karanja dominating on the complete punches and movement in the ring as well as ducks. Meanwhile in the Light Middleweight category,Kenya Police pugilist Boniface Mugunde was also too strong for Lucky Nyiro of KDF winning by judges decision 3-0.

Mugunde who is also an Olympiad had quick jabs in him and also mastered the art of defense as well. Nyiro is optimistic of reigning supreme.
