Olunga’s brother addresses reports linking forward with potential move to Everton, Corinthians

Michael Olunga's brother Victor Ogada has revealed that the forward still has a valid contract with Al Duhail and is likely to remain at the club.
Reports suggesting that Olunga's contract would expire at the end of June have emerged, but it appears that he has three more years remaining on his current deal.
Olunga linked with Brazillian giants
Several clubs have been linked with Olunga, including Brazilian club Corinthians, who are reportedly preparing a lucrative offer for the Harambee Stars captain.
Brazilian publication Eusoutimao stated that Corinthians were willing to offer Olunga a contract worth Ksh57 million to secure his signature.
Reacting to the circulating rumours linking Olunga with different clubs such as Everton and Galatasaray, Ogada, who is now the CEO of Michael Olunga Football Academy, clarified that the forward still has three years left on his contract.
He believes it will be difficult to move Olunga away from Al Duhail as the club trusts him. However, Ogada acknowledged that in football, anything can happen, leaving room for unexpected changes.

"He is not out of contract, he has like three years on his contract in Qatar and I think it is going to be difficult to get him out of Qatar. The club trusts him," Ogada said in an interview Tuchapiane show. "But again in football, you cannot rule out anything," he added.
Olunga in Harambee Stars camp
Olunga, a former striker for Gor Mahia and Tusker FC, is currently with the Harambee Stars for the ongoing international season after an impressive campaign in the Qatari All-Stars League.
In the recently concluded season, Olunga emerged as the top scorer of the Qatari league, netting 22 goals in 22 matches, averaging a goal per match.
He also contributed three assists, making him directly involved in a total of 25 goals throughout the season.
With an impressive record of 240 goals in 280 appearances for various clubs since the beginning of his career after high school, Olunga has established himself as a proven goalscorer.
He started his career with the Liberty Sports Academy in the Nairobi County League, scoring 32 goals in the 2012 season and helping the team finish unbeaten to earn promotion to the Nairobi Provincial League.
Olunga made headlines when he scored seven goals in a single match, leading his team to an 8-0 victory.
After initially being reported to attend trials in France, Olunga signed for Kenyan Premier League side Tusker on a one-year loan deal from Liberty on December 19, 2012.
He then moved to fellow Premier League side Thika United on loan for another year before joining Gor Mahia before the 2015 season.
Top scorer at Gor Mahia
He finished that season as the club's top scorer in the league with 19 goals, helping Gor Mahia win their 15th league title without losing a single match, including scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win over Muhoroni Youth in their final league match.
Olunga made his debut for the Kenya national team in a friendly against Seychelles on March 28, 2015, and scored his first goal for the Harambee Stars in a friendly against South Sudan, resulting in a 2-0 win. On July 27, 2019, during the 2019 AFCON, Olunga scored a double to complete a comeback against Tanzania.
