The second leg in the Women’s Volleyball League saw exciting matches and results come through in different venues.

It was titanic especially between defending Champions KCB Volleyball Club and next-multiple Champions Kenya Prisons Volleyball Club.

Prisons, who are the 2021 National Champions, had to battle hard to win 3-0 (25-19/25-20/25-21) against the big hitting Bankers in what was a tense but fulfilling game. Most points on either side were won on the net with both hitters and blockers having to dig in as well.

The opening set seemed a bit straight forward but the subsequents were a real fight with both teams not willing to blink in what was a seesaw game.

KCB seemed more comfortable on attacking on the net and square most of the balls down the middle where their blockers did a good job. However, the variance and technique in play by the Prisons team ensured they had the game.

In other games, Kenya Pipeline recovered to beat rivals Kenya Army 3-0 (25-12/25-16/25-14) in what was an easy win.

Kenya Pipeline who are former Champions silenced their opponents with clinical finishing. The soldiers had difficulty in penetrating the areas of their opponents who applied a lot of discipline on court.

Meanwhile Post Bank also had their day against Nairobi water with a well deserved 3-0 (25-15/27-25/25-19).The Mail Bank ensured their approach to the game was not that casual and they also took their chances effectively.

The second set was a bit crazed with a real see-saw witnessed with a tie in regulation before Postbank broke the even score. It was an intense match with hard court play witnessed as both teams dug in.
