Ambitious Junior Starlets are set to begin their 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup preparations after head coach Mildred Cheche named a provisional squad.

Starlets will take on Ethiopia in the upcoming two-legged qualification for the third round of the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier in May.

"They begin with the first leg in Ethiopia on Friday, May 10, 2024, followed by the second leg at home on Sunday, May 19, 2024," the Football Kenya Federation announced.

Cheche named a provisional squad of 31 players who will arrive in camp on Saturday, Aril 27.

The aggregate winner of the duel will proceed to the fourth and final round, where they will face either Djibouti or Burundi. If Starlets manage to overcome all these hurdles, they will then automatically qualify for the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in October.

The finals will be held in the Dominican Republic.
