Tusker FC have successfully retained the FKF Premier League title following a 2-0 win over Posta Rangers.

In a season that was marred with confusion, uncertainty and clubs running broke, the league ended just as it was last season with the brewers lifting the title at home.

Title-chasing Kakamega Homeboyz had earlier on been issued with a walk-over after Kariobangi Sharks failed to travel to Kakamega for the match.

The Ruaraka grounds affair was a tense affair especially after news came in that Homeboyz had been awarded three points and two goals following Sharks' failure to turn up at the Bukhungu Stadium.

Robert Matano's Tusker chasing for their 13th league title started the match on a high but a sharp Posta Rangers defence kept them at bay.

Shafan Oyugi opened scores for the hosts in the 35th minute when he pounced on a rebound off the post following a Shami Kibwana effort.

Oyugi was fast to react and he buried the ball with the Posta Rangers defence still napping.

Brilliant work from Stewart Omondi in the 79th minute ensured that Tusker would go home victorious and have now frog jumped AFC Leopards as Kenya's second most successful club with 13 titles.

Ingwe who had a chunk of their first-team players missing because of unknown reasons got a beating of their lives when they lost 3-1 to Nzoia Sugar at the Sudi stadium.

Ingwe will however finish the season in 7th place.

In other matches, KCB beat Bidco United 3-2 in Thika with Talanta holding City Stars to a 2-2 draw.
