EACC nabs three Kitui county senior staff over graft

Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission officers from Machakos yesterday arrested three senior Kitui County government officials over Sh1.1 billion construction procurement scandal in 2016.
The sleuths raided the County offices and. after a meeting with the County Secretary Joshua Chepchieng, they left with the suspects.
Those arrested are acting chief officer for Lands Jeremiah Kisilu, former acting chief officer for treasury June Munyao and senior procurement officer Makau Sande.
It was not immediately clear whether they would be presented to court or not.
We could also not immediately establish where they were being held after being whisked away as the EACC sleuths did not speak to the media.
