State House race: Raila set to conclude Kakamega campaign

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga is set to conclude his tour in Kakamega county today July 9, 2022.

With 30 days left to the much-anticipated election, presidential campaigns have hit a fever pitch as the frontrunners intensify their campaigns in search of support from electorates.

An itinerary released by his presidential campaign secretariat, Dennis Onsarigo shows he will be addressing supporters in Khaimba primary (Mumias East), Bushiri market (Navakholo), and Bukhungu stadium rally (Lurambi).

He will be flanked by his running mate Martha Karua and other leaders allied to the coalition to sell the Azimio agenda.

Raila tours Mount Kenya

Raila's visit to western Kenya comes after he concluded his tour of the Mount Kenya region on Thursday, July 7.

During his visit to his running mate's backyard, the former premier exuded confidence stating that he had finally succeeded in "climbing the mountain".

“They said I would never succeed in climbing the mountain but I want to tell them I have.

“I have brought Mama Karua home today…we are going to win this election. We are already at 65 per cent but we want to go beyond that,” Raila stated.
