KBL launches a two-day beer festival in Nairobi

Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) through its flagship brand Tusker has today launched one of the biggest beer festivals in Kenya dubbed ‘Tusker OktobaFest 2019’.

The two-day event will take place from the October 5 to 6 at the Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi. It’s to celebrate Kenyan authenticity, by bringing to life Kenyan culture through beer, entertainment, food and music.

Kenyans will get to enjoy a range of beers and food as the nation’s top artistes and deejays entertain them.

Speaking at the launch, KBL finance director Kinya Kimotho said: “The festival is to celebrate our diverse and unapologetic culture with great food and music to give our consumers a one of a kind extraordinary experience. We hope our consumers will enjoy great beer from the KBL family. The event also seeks to celebrate our great Kenyan vibe and twist by promoting our local celebrity artistes, deejays and emcees.”

The line-up of artistes will feature Sauti Sol, Nyashinski, Khaligraph Jones, Jua Cali, Fena, The Kansoul, Bensoul, Nadia Mukami, Sailors, Ethic, H_art the Band and Karun, among others. Revellers will enjoy music from deejays Joe Mfalme, Blinky Bill, Kace, Suraj, Adrian, G Money and Dii, among others.

There will also be a gaming area with interactive activities that include festival and arcade games, touch rugby, giant jenga and pool. The festival will also have a wide variety of Kenyan street food ranging from nyama choma to samosa and mutura, among others.

To be part of the festival, consumers will be required to purchase festival pass via Mookh.com at Sh1,000. Each ticket purchased comes with two redeemable beers from the house of Tusker (Tusker Lager, Tusker Lite, Tusker Malt, and Tusker Cider).
