Anyone endorsed by outgoing Uhuru will lose terribly – Kabando wa Kabando claims
Former Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando has on Tuesday November 2, 2021 stated that any presidential aspirant who will be endorsed by President Uhuru Kenyatta in is succession race will fail terribly.
The former lawmaker posited that the current frontrunners in the 2022 presidential contest, ODM Leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto, are cognizant of the doom that will befall them if they seek Uhuru's endorsement.
His remarks come in the backdrop of claims by Ruto-allied politicians that state functionaries have been instructed by the Presidency to drum up support for former prime minister Raila Odinga.
"Anyone endorsed by outgoing Uhuru will lose terribly. Frontrunners Raila & Ruto know this too well. Raila's increasingly becoming possibility. Ruto remains man to beat. Amiable Mudavadi seems angling - ManToWatch. Kalonzo still wandering, but may KEY as 2007," he tweeted.
Kabando further claimed that Uhuru's mode of operation in his second term is only comparable to that of the late President Daniel Moi. The ex-legislator stated that Uhuru tactfully brought his competitors to his fold and is currently aware of everything happening in every political corner.
"President Uhuru is hands on and knows everything happening in every corner and on every key political leader. Only Arap Moi can beat him on this. Biggest Uhuru achievement post-2017 elections is he has silenced all his main competitors, and enrolled them big-time state largesse," he added.
