Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala has accused ODM party leaders of hypocrisy.

Malala, who was speaking during a stopover rally in Kakamega county, claimed that leaders of the Orange party demean Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi during the day while their leader, Raila Odinga, calls the ANC leader every night begging for his support.

The vocal politician also accused the Orange party of sponsoring a fake opinion poll to depict Mudavadi as unpopular. He rubbished the recent poll that placed the former Deputy Prime Minister at a public approval rating of 3%.

"They released an opinion poll yesterday, suggesting that Musalia is unpopular. Their poll placed Musalia at a paltry 3% in public approval ratings.

I am however surprised that the same ODM members who sponsored the opinion polls to show that Mudavadi is not popular, call us every night begging for our support. Every night Raila calls Mudavadi beseeching him to support his presidential bid," he said.

The lawmaker further maintained that the ANC party will not support ODM leader Raila Odinga in his quest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
