Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah now says Deputy President William Ruto is not an angel and should retire with his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Wajackoyah says he has what it takes to revive Kenya's troubled economy, unlike Ruto who has been in government but did nothing to revert the situation.

In a post he made on his Facebook page, Wajackoyah upheld his administration will restore the glory Kenya had during the era of late President Mwai Kibaki.

He was reacting to former Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi who had earlier stated that President Uhuru and his deputy Ruto should go home so that the country can be taken back to 2002.

"I agree with Beatrice, we need to revive our economy. Ruto trying to cleanse himself blaming handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta wouldn't make him an angel," the hopeful President said.

"Kenyans know who is running the government," he added.

Wajackoyah is battling to take over Kenya's administration against other political bigwigs.

Azimio-OKA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga, UDA's William Ruto and Agano Party's David Mwaure are Wajackoyah's contestants who are all struggling to find their way into the State House when President Uhuru Kenyatta exits the stage come August 9.
