Azimio la Umoja Movement National Delegates Conference (NDC) is set to kick off at KICC on Saturday.

President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party and Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) are the main outfits in the movement that is expected to be enjoined with One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

The NDC is expected to formally endorse Raila as Azimio's presidential candidate ahead of April 9 deadline for coalition parties to unveil a flag bearer ahead of the August 9 general election.

On Friday, parties forming OKA coalition signed an agreement to work together ahead of polls.

The principals led by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU's Gideon Moi, Narc Kenya's Martha Karua among others vowed to work together to transform the country.

In their statements, the principals said that they remain open to dialogue with other interested parties and coalitions in order to team up for a grand coalition that they say will turn around the economic status of the country.

"We have made it very clear that we have a serious debate with regards to the prevailing political discourse in the country. We have made sacrifices before and we are ready to do more," Musyoka said.

Should any other coalition fail to engage them, Musyoka stated that they are ready to hit the ground running all the way to the ballot.

"Let us prepare Kenyans for a real arsenal formation. We are set, if others are not willing to engage, we are ready to go all the way, though the room for dialogue is still available," he added.

Among other things, the OKA principals stated they will fight corruption and give all Kenyans free secondary education adding that once their manifesto is ready, the same will be made public.

"My chest is clear and Kenyans know that leaders need to be held to account. We are a team that is intolerant to corruption. OKA manifesto is almost ready. The naysayers have been proved wrong. New Democrats will join OKA next week," Musyoka said.
