Buluma Tonny tops 2019 KCSE

Buluma Tonny from Kapsabet Boys High School scored grade A of 87.159 points to emerge as the top candidate in 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
While announcing the results on Wednesday, Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha said 627 candidates scored grade A.
"The overall performance of students have been improving since we started reforms. This means that as a country we are are on the right track," said CS Magoha.
Tonny is followed by Maryanne Njeri of Kenya High School, David Odhiambo of Kapsabet High School (3), Anthony Owuor of Maseno School (4) and Mathuri Natasha of Kenya High School (5).
The top schools are Kenya High School with 76 students who scored grade A plain, Alliance High School (48As) and Kapsabet High School (46s).
